These fifteen days in Thailand were a rare opportunity: we got to be there for the entire arc of this project, from the moment students went into the field to meet local NGOs, all the way through to building the Metaverse exhibition that shared their findings.

That full-arc access is what made it valuable case study, not just as an exhibition. Professor Kim and I could follow how students made decisions about what mattered enough to include, the opinions that shaped those choices, and how the Metaverse itself got used along the way, letting us study its potential as a tool for empathy and collaboration from the inside, not just look at the finished result.
